Both Michelle and Katie ran brilliantly at the West Districts XC, managing to qualify for Scotland West team at the upcoming Inter Districts. Michelle picked up a Masters silver at the National Short Course, and a team silver for Scotland Masters at the recent International XC.
Katie and Neil were the winners at the recent Spiggie 10K, with Mary and Russell also making the podium. Neil set a new 10K club record of 34:43, and Mary and Russell won the hill climb competitions.
In marathon news, we also have a new club record for Brett, running the New York Marathon in 2:40:51, finishing in the top 200 of a marathon major! Ross Manson secured another PB in Pisa, knocking 10 mins off his previous time in 3:02 and securing the Boston Marathon qualifying time too!
Brian celebrated turning 50 in style, taking on the Swiss Peaks Marathon. He stormed around the course, securing silver in his age group, and enjoying the stunning views of the Alps.
Aaron competed in the Dublin Hyrox as part of a pair, and held the lead for the majority of the event. They just missed out on the win, but have events lined up next year to aim for!
And finally, Linda took to the start line for the first time since 2018. She ran brilliantly in the Lanzarote Half Marathon, battling a tough headwind and high temperatures. Russell managed to win the veterans gold, and finished 9th overall to cap a good season on the road.
